Tremorfa Battery Park is a proposed new infrastructure project in east Cardiff, which received planning consent two years ago. The surrounding area contains remnants of the steel industry that have now closed . The project transforms the former industrial site into a vibrant green space in which the large battery containers are stored , creating much-needed recreational opportunities for the local community while strengthening connections to the wider landscape and waterfront.
The Tremorfa Energy Park will be very much part of this process by storing power within a number of modular battery units. The energy stored at Tremorfa will be generated elsewhere and provided to it via the National Grid network or directly from other renewable sources.
